Cu prilejul Zilei Iei, Institutul Cultural Român de la Viena, în colaborare cu Ambasada României în Republica Austria, organizează, în perioada 24 iunie – 7 august 2026, expoziția de artă vizuală „Timp scris în fire / In Fäden geschriebene Zeit / Le temps écrit en fils”, semnată de artista română Delia Sechel Perrois, stabilită în Franța și Elveția. Curator: Anamaria Altmann. Vernisajul va avea loc miercuri, 24 iunie 2026, de la ora 18:30, la sediul ICR Viena, în prezența artistei și a curatoarei.
„Artista Delia Sechel Perois a oferit iei un limbaj nou: nu acul și firul, ci cerneala, cărbunele, pastelul, hârtie manuală și calc de mari dimensiuni și o legătură profundă, personală cu sufletul ei românesc. Lucrările ei nu sunt reprezentări – sunt amprente, în sens propriu și figurativ. Artista desenează, stratifică, pliază și asamblează, tipărește și lipește. Silueta iei, cu mânecile ei caracteristice, cu croiala în cruce, reapare mereu, uneori clar recognoscibilă, alteori dizolvându-se ca un vis la trezire. Motivele tradiționale de broderie sunt abstractizate, multiplicate, având accentul pe elemente cu simbol feminin precum luna și rombul, aproape ca niște semne arheologice ale unei vechi civilizații. Delia Sechel Perrois s-a născut la Ploiesti, în 1956. Absolventă a Institutului de Arte Plastice „Nicolae Grigorescu” din București, promotia 1980, ea și-a aprofundat formarea artistică in Elvetia, la Geneva, unde a urmat cursuri postuniversitare între anii 1992 și 1994 și 2003-2004. Activitatea sa artistică a început în România, încă din studenție, și a continuat în Elveția, participând la numeroase expoziții personale si de grup în muzee si galerii de artă. De-a lungul carierei, a obținut bursa Pro Helvetia și a fost distinsă cu mai multe premii. În 2020 a reprezentat România la concursul internațional organizat de ONU Geneva, iar una dintre lucrările sale face parte astăzi din colecția de artă a Națiunilor Unite.
