Dragi români de pretutindeni
Vreau acum să vă colind
Si prin versuri scumpi prieteni
Să v-ajungă al meu gând
Când se apropie Crăciunul
Răsună: O ce veste minunată !
Din suflet cântă tot românul
Colinda sfântă de altădată
Să vă adunați cu toții
Eu vă doresc la fiecare
Împreună-n dragi emoții
Colindând cu mic cu mare
Că nu-i limbă mai duioasă
Ca si limba cea română
Nici datină mai frumoasă
Decât colinda străbună
S-aveți desfătare-n casă
Oameni buni să vină-n prag
Bucate gustoase pe masă
Să petreceți toți cu drag
De v-aflați in depărtare
Ori sunteți la voi in sat
Să primiți a mea urare
Crăciun Binecuvântat !

Of course, the longer I spend at the heart of the watch world, where collectors sometimes care about hairsprings and power reserves and lug-to-lug measurements even more than they care about what the timepiece in question actually looks like, the harder it is to remain on the periphery. Sometimes an outsider’s perspective can be a valuable commodity in this funny little bubble (even if it makes certain people VERY mad), but I know that by working here I’m moving from the outside in.
