Marți, 21 octombrie 2025, are loc la Luxemburg, o nouă reuniune a Consiliului Afaceri Generale (CAG).
Pe ordinea de zi a reuniunii CAG figurează un schimb de opinii pe tema Consiliului European din 23-24 octombrie 2025, precum și o dezbatere politică cu privire la Cadrul Financiar Multianual 2028-2034, urmate de prezentarea unui raport de progrese pe tema pachetelor Omnibus de simplificare legislativă la nivel european, o nouă audiere a Ungariei cu privire la valorile europene în cadrul procedurii stabilite în baza articolului 7 (1) din TUE, respectiv un prânz de lucru pe tema „Scutului European pentru Democrație”.
La sesiunea de lucru privind Cadrul Financiar Multianual 2028-2034, România va fi reprezentată de ministrul afacerilor externe, Oana Țoiu. Secretarul de stat pentru afaceri europene, Orientul Mijlociu și Africa, Clara Staicu, va participa la celelalte sesiuni de discuție prevăzute pe agenda reuniunii, precum și la un mic-dejun de lucru organizat în marja CAG de ministrul afacerilor externe și comerțului exterior al Marelui Ducat al Luxemburgului, Xavier Bettel, cu viceprim-ministrul pentru integrare europeană și euroatlantică al Ucrainei, Taras Kachka.
